World Gliding Championships

Tasks are routinely set at between 300 to 600 klms each and winning speeds are generally between 125 and 150 kph This World Class Event has attracted over 80 pilot entries from international pilots from more than 20 countries. Each country will attend with a team of up to 6 pilots, 12 crew (2 per pilot), plus weather, strategy and communications specialists, a Team Captain and a Manager. About 24 people per team means a total of 480 competition members plus their family and friends. The competition organisers number over 50 people and there are expected to be several hundred onsite visitors and spectators. The racing will be streamed live around the world,
